Dear Parents/Teachers:

The Cole Academy PTA would like to welcome you back to school. We hope you had a wonderful summer break. We look forward to an equally exciting 2006-2007 school year for everyone.

Last year, while we were unable to secure 100% membership, the PTA had a tremendous showing of support from the teachers, parents, students and families in the school. Through your support and fund-raising efforts, we were able to host a Family Fun Night, sponsor student field trips, provide lunch assistance, support literacy in the school, and provide much needed assistance to our families during the holidays. We have approximately $3,800.00 in our general PTA fund. We want to use these monies assisting students as best we can. But we need your continued support to make this happen.

While you do not need to join PTA to offer your opinion or take part in PTA sponsored events at the school, your membership and contribution of $3.50 shows our collective support of PTA on a state and national level. Your membership also affords you a vote on issues presented before the Board and the General Membership.

The Cole Academy PTA Board currently consists of James Henderson (Principal); Alicen Martinez (Vice-President); Paul Harding (Treasurer); and Stacey Knoblauch (Teacher Representative). We are looking for volunteers to fill the following positions which have been vacated:President; Secretary; Membership Chair; and Assistant Membership Chair.
